Terms and Conditions Concerning Lanzarote Car Hire
1 Payment
We will send you a quotation (compiled from your enquiry form) and on that form there will be a Paypal payment link ( for credit card and Paypal account holders).
Our bank details will be included, but we cannot give you the car until the transaction is completed. In the event of bank transactions, you should allow 14 days
for oversea transactions to complete.
If you accept our quotation, we require 10% of the hire value to secure the car. However, you must pay for the hire in full either at the time of collecting the
vehicle, or you can pay in full 14 days prior to departing from country of origin to Lanzarote.
If payment is made in full (14 days before departure), we can guarantee you no administration hold ups when you collect the car. We solely require your signature
on the paperwork and a scan of your credit card (or 100€ cash refundable deposit on return of the vehicle).
The hirer expressly undertakes to pay to the Contractor.
a) The price of the hire agreed and according to the quotation or contract, as well as taxes, insurance etc.
b) Any fines and judicial or extra judicial costs due to improper parking, traffic offences and transport rules or other.
c) The amount due for re-filling the fuel tank.
d) The loss, total or partial breakage or replacement of the keys inside, save that such event is covered by insurance.
e) The payment of a complete days hire in the event that the hirer returns the car one hour later than the return time stipulated on the contract.
f) The costs of transporting and repairing the vehicle if malfunction is caused by the use of inappropriate fuel.

2 Refunds
Once a booking has been made and paid for, we will only make refunds on the following basis:-
a) If notification of intended cancellation is received in writing (email or fax), within one week (7 working days) of the agreed hire date. In this circumstance,
money will be refunded. There will be a date and a time on your booking form, once expired, no refund can be made. Refunds will be made less the deposit
(10%). In the event of cancellation, the deposit shall not be repaid.
b) Deposits are non refundable in the event of cancellation or non appearance of the hirer.

3 Use of the vehicle
The hirer receives the vehicle mechanically fit, provided with the appropriate tools, tyres and accessories for the use thereof, undertaking to maintain and
return the vehicle in the same condition.

4 It is Expressly Prohibited
a) To let the vehicle be driven by any other person different from the hirer, unless a second named driver, is included in the hire contract.
b) To drive the vehicle under the influence of alcoholic drinks, drugs, tiredness or illness.
c) To participate with the vehicle in races or other competitions or any kind of training.
d) To take the vehicle under any circumstances to other islands.
e) To drive on non- asphalted roads, as well as prohibited and dangerous areas (like dirt tracks, beaches, ravines, etc).
f) To manipulate mechanical and electronic parts or any part of the vehicle.

6 Accidents
The hirer undertakes:-
a) To report immediately to the contractor any incident or accident.
b) Not to admit liability to any third party if involved in an accident or injury.
c) To gather the details (including details of insurance) of any third party involved in an incident or accident.
d) Not to abandon the vehicle without taking appropriate measures for the protection and safeguard thereof.
e) To report immediately to the authorities any offence committed by the third party. In the event of non-fulfillment by the hirer of the foregoing obligations,
should they be applicable, the contractor is authorised to claim from the hirer, compensation for any damages caused by his/ her negligence.
The hirer undertakes:-
a) To report immediately to the contractor any incident or accident.
b) Not to admit liability to any third party if involved in an accident or injury.
c) To gather the details (including details of insurance) of any third party involved in an incident or accident.
d) Not to abandon the vehicle without taking appropriate measures for the protection and safeguard thereof.
e) To report immediately to the authorities any offence committed by the third party. In the event of non-fulfillment by the hirer of the foregoing obligations,
should they be applicable, the contractor is authorised to claim from the hirer, compensation for any damages caused by his/ her negligence.

5 Return Of The Vehicle
a) The vehicle shall be returned or left at the spot agreed on the hire contract.
b) Non- fulfillment of the first conditions herein, shall authorise the contractor to regain possession of the vehicle without judicial authorisation.
c) The contractor, is authorised to terminate any agreement and regain possession of the vehicle at any time during the validity term hereof in the event of the
vehicle being used in violation of the provisions herein.

7 Thefts
Should the vehicle be stolen, the hirer is obliged to report it immediately to the police authorities. A copy of the police report must be delivered to the
contractors office from which the car was hired.

8 Maintenance
Contractors endorsed garage only. The hirer renounces any claims for damages caused by the delay in returning the repaired car to him/her, substitution,
thereof or cancellation of the rental during the term of this present agreement or thereafter.
